Once when i was a child my favorite holiday's we're Thanksgiving and X-mas. The only thing on my mind on my way up to Maryland was family and F O O D! I also remember opening presents and smelling the hot steam that we're coming from my aunts crock pot. The smell was so outrages , you could smell it entering D.C district. Watching all the tall buildings and the lights flash by me in seconds. Wishing my mom to drive 5mph just to see them, i remember her saying one day we will (That day came (:).My grandmother meeting us at the door yelling inside the house. "THERE HERE!!!!!!", with a big smile on her face rushing to us. My grandmother was bomb!!!!!!!!  She would always spoil me and always have my favorite snakes waiting on me with bunch of hot wheels. As my mom unpack our bags and tell my grandmother how our trip was up here, i would eat and play with my cousins with my toys. When X-mas day hit, My mother woke me up saying lets go open my gifts that Santa bought me. I would run down downstairs in my pj's and almost tripping on the same stair every time! My eyes would bounce back and forth from the gifts to the Christmas tree lights. They we're so colorful and shiny they could almost blind anyone. I rush to open my first gift. They told me to wait a second so they could take pictures and record this special moment. I ripped it open with a little help from my mother and their it was. A HOT WHEELS RACE CAR TRACK! I thanked Santa repeatedly , not thinking about the other gifts, i was just exited to put it together with my family and racing them. "One down, 9more to go Keante , my mom said". I open all of them as fast as i could. And my mind was set back on the hot wheels toy. Everyone sat and watched each other open their gifts but me, My eyes we're steady on the race car track. I would here my mom yell to me to tell me to come over their to her so we can ALL watch. A family tradition. When everything was done, We put together the hot wheels race track and played all day. Thats the best child hood memory i can remember (:
